Dun’s Decision Makers (DDM) is a list of over 11 million senior and middle management names and titles. Use the DDM selection to pinpoint "decision makers" by their title and responsibilities.
There are two types of DDM codes available:
• Code Groups—1 or 2-digit codes representing a group of executive titles. Currently, there are 60 groups to choose from. For example, 1—Owners, 2—Partners, 4—Presidents, 20—Finance, 28—Clerks, and so on.
• MRC Codes (Management Responsibility Codes)—4-character alpha-numeric codes representing individual executive titles within Code Groups. For example, Group 4—"Presidents" includes A1A6—President, A1B3—Subsidiary President, A1CG—Co-President, B1EB—Regional President and so on.
1 On the Business Type tab, click DDM.
2 In the text boxes provided, enter Code Groups, or MRC Codes, or the combination of both. If you do not know them, use Lookup.
To clear the text boxes of all entries, click Clear All.
There are two ways to look up DDM codes:
• By keyword. When you enter full or partial title name or code, a list of all title names from various title groups containing the keyword combination appears. You can either select separate titles or include the whole group in your search. View example
• By code group. When you select a code group you are interested in, the complete list of all title names from this group appears. You can either select separate titles or include all positions shown for this group in your search. View example
To look up the DDM codes follow the steps:
1 On the Professional Specialty Executive Contacts page, click Look Up.
2 Do one of the following:
• If you want to look up by keyword, in the Keyword text box, type MRC code or speciality title, both full or partial.
• If you want to look up by code group, select one or several groups in the list.
To add the whole group to the search,select the group from the list and click Add Groups.
3 Click Search.
DDM codes matching your lookup criteria are displayed.
4 Select the DDM codes to be added to your search.
To add all MRC Codes shown for this group, select All positions shown for this group.
5 Click Add Selected DDMs.
Use the Omit feature to exclude one or several Group or MRC codes from your search. Note that if you have not made any DDM selection and choose to omit certain DDM codes, the system assumes that you want to include all Professional Specialty Executive Contacts, except those specified in the omissions table.
1 On the Professional Specialty Executive Contacts page, click Omit.
2 On the Professional Specialty Executive Contacts to Omit page, specify Code Groups and MRC codes you want to exclude from the search. If you do not know them, use Lookup. For more information, see DDM Codes Lookup.
To clear the text boxes of all entries, click Clear All.
