Editing Search Information

Every search has the following fields containing information about the search.

Search ID

Unique identifier assigned by the system. Consists of User ID and search number. Cannot be edited.

Search Description

Provides information complementary to the Search ID. You can use it to better identify the search, for example, in the list of previous searches.

By default, the field is auto populated with Search ID, list code, and date when the search was run. Can be edited. Maximum 50 characters.

Search Notes

Provides more extended additional information about the search. By default, the field is auto populated with selection summary. Can be edited.

You can select not to auto populate the Search Notes field, or to limit it to100 characters in your Account Preferences. For more information, see Search Notes Setup.

You can edit Search Description and Search Notes for your search in the following situations:

         When you save a search. Click Save, and then click the Edit Search Description button in the upper part of the page.

         When you place order. Start the ordering process, and click the Edit Search Description button in the upper part of the page.

         When you request a count report. When specifying the report parameters on the Report Delivery Options page, edit the Search Information section.
